Charles Ogletree wife name is Pamela Barnes. In 1975, Professor Ogletree wed Pamela Barnes, a Stanford alumna who was also his classmate. 

Charles Ogletree III and Rashida Ogletree are their two proud children, and they are also the grandparents of Marquelle, Nia Mae, Jamila Ogletree, and Makayla George.

Family Details Of Charles Ogletree

Ogletree was born on December 31, 1952, to laboring farmers in Merced, central California. They separated later. 

He obtained his political science BA (1974, with distinction), MA (1975), and JD (1978) from Stanford University and Harvard Law School, respectively. 

He assumed leadership of the Black American Law Students Association, subsequently known as the National Black Law Students Association, while still a law student.

Ogletree served as a staff attorney, training director, trial chief, and deputy director for the District of Columbia Public Defender Service from the time he graduated from law school until 1985. 

He has acted as an attorney for well-known people including Tupac Shakur and Anita Hill. He started teaching at Harvard Law School in 1985.

He was appointed vice dean for clinical programs in 1992 and appointed Jesse Climenko Professor of Law.

Ogletree’s wife first noticed health difficulties in 2014 when he was 60 years old, and in May 2015, at the age of 62, he was given an Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis. 

Ogletree said on July 13, 2016, that he had been given an early-stage Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis. 

Ogletree went missing in 2019 and was later discovered safe by the authorities following a thorough search for missing persons. On August 4, 2023, Ogletree passed away at the age of 70.
