She was later diagnosed as being sidelined for a substantial portion of the season after sustaining a deep leg cut in the parking lot after a match in the 2013 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship.

In August 2014, Arnold visited Perth Glory once more. Arnold was offered to play Australian rules football in the recently established AFL Women’s in 2016, but he chose soccer instead.

Arnold was signed by Brisbane Roar, who announced in October 2016. In 2012, Arnold was called up for the first time by the Australian national team for a tour of the United States. 

She debuted in November of that year, defeating Chinese Taipei in the second round of the preliminary stage of the 2013 EAFF Women’s East Asian Cup while maintaining a perfect record.

 In 2013, she quickly became the starting goalkeeper when Melissa Barbieri and Lydia Williams were out due to injury. 

After their returns, Arnold remained absent from the national lineup for a while before making a comeback in March 2015 for the Cyprus Cup.

One of the three goalkeepers on Matilda’s team for the 2015 World Cup in Canada was Mackenzie.
